The watercolor art of Wendy Lefkowitz features whimsical views of the beauty around us. A strong feeling for the glory of nature is reflected in the many floral pieces in her portfolio. Her still life’s combine beautiful cut flowers and cherished possessions. Wendy’s mastery of color is reflected in the softness of a rose petal or the magnificent brilliance of a bird of paradise. Her newest works include many abstract monoprints and collages.
Trained at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York earning a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, Wendy moved to Ventura, California in 1977. She is a signature member of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society and the Buenaventura Art Association.
Her original watercolors, monoprints and limited edition giclee prints are found in art collections throughout California and have been accepted into many juried shows. Wendy has won first place awards in the prestigious Gold Coast Watercolor Society Spring competition and the Santa Paula Art Society Annual Competition. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Ventura County.
