Susan R. Kaufman
		Susan R. Kaufman started drawing with pencil and charcoal as a child when her artist father took her plein air painting with him in the Los Angeles area. As a young girl of around 13 she went with him to draw from live models in a adult workshop. She kept up with the class and later began oil painting. Susan had many solo shows, exhibits, and competitions winning awards for her paintings. Later in life after the kids were older she started taking workshops in learning how to go from clay to bronze with David and Linda Elder. Susan's figurative bronzes are represented in galleries, was in national publications, and in collections nationwide. Her bronzes won many 1st prize awards in numerous county competitions. Her work has a unique style that comes from her deep love of the human spirit. Life's up and downs are shown in a vulnerable off guard moment, with a bit of whimsical undertones.
