POLICY REGARDING EXHIBITING MEMBERS
(Adopted by the Board of Directors, 1991)

1. Residency: Artists joining BAA as Exhibiting Members must be residents of Ventura County.

2. An Exhibiting Member (EM) of the Buenaventura Art Association shall enjoy all of the privileges and be subject to all of the obligations of an active member, but shall have the additional privileges and responsibilities set forth in this policy statement.

3. Volunteers: An EM shall donate at least 2 1/2 hours per month to the BAA and/or gallery.

4. Each EM agrees to release and hold Buenaventura Art Association =
and the Gallery harmless from and against any loss, damage, theft or injury to artwork displayed pursuant to this statement unless such loss, damage, injury or theft is the result of the intentional misconduct of the BAA or Gallery.

5. Dues: The annual membership dues for EMs is $55.00 for the fiscal year July 1 to June 30. After February 1, new members may join for half price through June.

6. Submissions: Entry of new work and removal of expired work will
occur simultaneously every two months and all work will be juried. (Dates to be published in the newsletter.) Pieces exhibited in prior shows may only be re-entered after one 2 month cycle has passed. Pieces in the annual competition may not have been shown in any prior BAA shows.

7. Honorary Life Members: (HLM) are exempt from paying the annual
$30.00 active membership fee. However, should they wish to exhibit, they will be required to pay $25.00, the difference between active and exhibiting membership, plus any exhibiting fees.
