Mary Kolada Scott is a writer and artist who captures vivid images and conveys emotions in visual and literary arts.
She loves the translucent, vibrant quality of watercolors and has branched out into acrylics and mixed media. Mary also creates linocuts from which she produces hand-pulled prints.
Her poems and essays have appeared in numerous publications, and she incorporates poetry into collages and letterpress broadsides.
She is a member of the Buenaventura Art Association and Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, Ill. Her first solo show, “Between the Lines,” was at the BAA gallery in May 2009.
Mary lives in Ventura with her husband, Don, who photographs her subjects and her finished pieces.
