Karen L. Brown is a fine art printmaker, encaustic (wax), mixed media artist and former college professor specializing in teaching Life Long Learning for adults. Karen is a resident artist at Sea Breeze Art Gallery in Ventura and works in the studio two to three days a week. She continues to devote time and paintings to raise scholarship money for local art students and participates in local, state and national competitions; has had six solo shows and created nine series of paintings since her return to art in 1995. Karen states that, “finding alternative ways of working heightens my senses and brings a renewed enthusiasm to my work”. Her home studio is open by appointment only.
