Exhibit Qualifications
- Forty years of college and university level art teaching
- Served as Art Department chair
- Primarily a sculptor and designer - have taught in many art areas, including the following:
a. Painting - oil, acrylic, watercolor
b. Printmaking - stone lithography and etching
c. Three-dimensional - ceramics, sculpture (bronze-casting, steel
fabrication and welding, wood carving, wood construction)
d. Art history - from paleolithic to contemporary
e. Design - two-dimensional and three-dimensional
f. Drawing (including Life Drawing)
- Director of Art Gallery - Pepperdine University - for 10 years
- Experience as Art Exhibition Juror for schools, colleges, and art organizations all through the Southwest
Because of my experience and qualifications, I am open to a wide variety of styles, techniques and media. In judging any show, I am most interested in CONTENT and CRAFTSMANSHIP. When I look at a work of art, I want to be able to see that the artist had something to say, and that they said it well, with passion and intensity.
