Plein Air Schedule January 2012

January 3 - Corriganville Park - 7001 Smith Rd., Simi Valley. Take Hwy 101 S to the 23 N to Fillmore to the 118 East through Simi Valley and exit at Kuehner Dr. Turn right on Kuehner and go about a mile to Smith and turn left. Go to the end of Smith and parking.
January 10 - Lookout Park - Summerland - Take Hwy 101 N to Summerland and exit on Evans St. Turn left under bridge to beach park.
January 17 - Santa Rosa County Park - Take Hwy 101 S to the Santa Rosa, Pleasant Valley Rd. exit and turn left. Go about 5.2 miles to Hill Canyon Rd. and turn right. It's about 1 mile from Mara Ville Gardens which is on the right side of Santa Rosa, Pleasant Valley Rd. Look for a new sign to Santa Rosa Park with a flower stand on the corner and turn onto narrow paved rd. to parking.
January 24 - Channel Islds. Visitors Center - Ventura Harbor - Take Hwy 101 N to Seaward exit and turn left to Harbor Blvd. Turn left on Harbor to Spinnaker at the entrance to Ventura Harbor and turn right. Near the end of the road turn right into parking and meet on lawn by the Harbor Cove Cafe just before the Visitors Center.
January 31 - Heritage Square - 715 South A St. - Oxnard - A group of restored Victorian houses. Take Hwy 101 to Victoria exit and turn south towards Oxnard. Go to 5th St. and turn left. At C St. go around Plaza Park to the right to continue on 5th St. to A St. and turn right to the 715 block and park.

February 7 - Bates Beach - Take Hwy 101 North from Ventura To Bates Rd. exit and turn left. Go to end of road and turn right to parking.
February 14 - Strathern Historical Park - 137 Strathearn Place - Simi Valley - Behind Target on the corner of Tierra Rejada and Madera Rd. - Can be accessed from either Tierra Rejada or Madera Rd. Take Hwy 101 South to Hwy 23 and exit on Tierra Rejada Rd. and turn right. Just before Madera Rd. entrance is on the left. Fee $3.00.
February 21 -. Marine Emporium Landing - Channel Islands Harbor - 3600 S Harbor Blvd. - Oxnard - Take Hwy 101 N to Victoria Blvd. exit and turn left towards Oxnard. Go about 7 miles to Channel Islds. Blvd. and turn right. Go over the bridge and turn left at first traffic light which is S Harbor Blvd. Follow S Harbor Blvd. around to your left and go about 1/2 miles to Marine Emporium parking on your left.
February 28 - Grants Park - Ventura - Bring recent paintings for show and tell or critique - Take Hwy 101 N to California St. exit and turn right to end at Poli St. and Ventura City Hall. Go left on Poli St. and around the bend to Ferro St. and turn right. At top of hill turn left at stop sign and go a short distance to parking and meet near cross.
