close window Frank Lennartz’s appreciation and talent for fine art started at an early age in Berlin, Germany where his mother began her own art education and his father in classical music. At the age of four, Frank immigrated to the United States settling in the foothills of La Crescenta, CA.

After receiving his Master’s degree from USC, Frank concentrated on a consulting career in Occupational Safety & Health and is currently a consulting member of the safety and health committee of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Drawn by his love for art and painting, he eventually followed his mother’s footsteps and the direction provided by contemporary Southwest artists Ted Goerschner and Kevin MacPherson and embarked on his own art career, developing his own style of capturing light and color on canvas.

As an Artist Member of the California Art Club, Frank has sold his paintings to collectors in all of the club’s special art events including the California Art Club Gold Medal Juried Exhibition, the Mission San Juan Capistrano Plein Air Painting Event, the Eaton Canyon Paintout, the Arroyo Paintout & Exhibition and from the CAC’s own gallery at the historic Old Mill. Frank was also the recipient of the prestigious 2002 Director’s Choice Award presented by the Carnegie Art Museum in Oxnard, CA.

Between teaching and preparing for his annual featured art show at Descanso Gardens, Frank was recently married to accomplished artist, Linda Elliott DuPas at Twin Lakes in the Eastern High Sierras.
